Information in English

The BernFrontrunners consists of around 50 runners across a wide age range. We are a committed LGBTIQ+ running group and always happy to welcome new club members. Our group includes occasional runners, ambitious amateur athletes and everything in between. We practice at least once a week under supervision. You can join our club for a free trial, so we can get to know each other. Just get in touch with us: jogging@queersportbern.ch We look forward to hearing from you! The training sessions currently take place on Wednesdays at 7 pm.

Most members of BernFrontrunners are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and we welcome all people who identify with the LGBTIQ+ community.

In winter our training takes place in the Fischermätteli sports hall (Tram 6 terminus). All training sessions are accompanied by music and individually arranged. Four people currently lead the training sessions. This ensures variety, fun and different demands on your body. The focus is always on endurance, strength, speed and coordination. No previous experience is required.

During summer we offer two training groups on Wednesday. The faster running group (pace 5.00 min/km) runs about ten kilometers and focuses on different aspects. The slower group runs about six kilometers at a moderate pace and completes the Vita Parcours in Könizbergwald. Both groups start and finish at the Fischermätteli sports hall. Some of us will take part in the Eurogames in Lyon and are preparing with additional training sessions.

Please contact Rolf Lischer (he/him) 079 793 26 07 for more information about training sessions, locations and your first training with a BernFrontrunners – the LGBTIQ+ running group of Berne.
